1. Identification and scope

The website abogadoquintana.com (the “Website”) is operated to present the professional services of Alejandro Quintana Vega, a practicing lawyer holding Professional License No. 230.284 issued by the Superior Council of the Judiciary, who uses the trade name “Abogado Quintana” (hereinafter, “Abogado Quintana”). These Terms and Conditions govern access to, browsing and use of the Website, its content, forms and links.

2. Informational purpose of the Website

The Website contains general information about practice areas, services, professional experience, academic and legal content, contact methods and other information related to Abogado Quintana. Unless expressly stated otherwise in a later engagement document, the information published does not by itself constitute a legal opinion, legal advice applicable to a specific case or an individualized professional recommendation.

3. No automatic attorney-client relationship

Accessing the Website, reading or downloading content, submitting a form, sending an email or a WhatsApp message, making a call or any other initial contact does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship or imply acceptance of a professional engagement. The professional relationship will begin only when Abogado Quintana expressly accepts the matter and the scope of the service, the fees and the other applicable conditions are defined through the appropriate means. Before that acceptance, users should refrain from sending information whose disclosure could harm their interests or those of third parties.

4. Confidentiality and professional secrecy

Once a professional relationship has been validly accepted, information subject to professional secrecy will be handled in accordance with the rules applicable to the legal profession. Users acknowledge that electronic communications and internet browsing may involve risks inherent to transmission and storage. Abogado Quintana adopts reasonable security measures, which does not mean that any electronic system can be guaranteed to be absolutely invulnerable.

5. Territorial and jurisdictional scope

The content of the Website is aimed primarily at matters governed by Colombian law. References to international operations, registrations in other countries or coordination with foreign professionals do not mean that Abogado Quintana is authorized to practice in jurisdictions other than those in which it may lawfully do so. When a matter requires advice in another jurisdiction, the participation of a duly qualified professional may be recommended or coordinated, with prior information to and authorization from the client.

6. Information on services and fees

The description of services, plans, ranges, rates or fees published on the Website is intended to guide the user and must be read together with the specific conditions communicated for each engagement. Official fees, third-party expenses, translations, certificates, taxes, travel or other external costs are not understood to be included unless expressly indicated and may be subject to review or adjustment, since the latter depend exclusively on the specific authority. The publication of an amount on the Website does not by itself form a contract nor oblige Abogado Quintana to accept a matter where there are conflicts of interest, lack of capacity, lack of professional competence, material impossibility or another legitimate reason.

7. Payments are not received and services are not contracted directly through the Website

The Website currently has no payment gateway or mechanism through which users can, on their own, complete the contracting and payment of legal services. Contact buttons, WhatsApp and forms are initial communication mechanisms. Any later contracting will be documented through the means defined for the specific matter.

8. Accuracy, updates and no guarantee of results

Abogado Quintana strives to keep the published information clear, understandable and up to date. However, rules, administrative criteria and legal circumstances may change, and the content may not immediately reflect all changes after its publication date. No information on the Website constitutes a guarantee of a legal, administrative, registration, commercial or economic outcome. Each matter depends on its own facts, evidence, authorities, third parties and applicable rules.

9. Client experiences

The Website may reproduce statements from clients who have authorized their publication and that reflect their personal experiences. These statements belong to those who make them and do not constitute a promise, guarantee or representation that another matter will achieve the same result. Each client’s experience is individual and the results of prior matters do not guarantee future results. When a statement includes a name, company, image, logo or other personal data, its publication is subject to the corresponding authorization.

10. Advertising, information and the Consumer Statute

Where consumer protection rules apply, the objective and specific information offered to the public will be interpreted in accordance with Law 1480 of 2011 and other applicable rules. Abogado Quintana seeks to avoid misleading, absolute or potentially deceptive statements. Users should request clarification when they need to confirm the scope, price, conditions or characteristics of a service before contracting it.

11. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, the texts, signs, designs, structure, educational materials, documents, photographs, videos, graphic elements, trademarks and other content proper to the Website are protected by intellectual property rules. Users may consult and use the content for lawful, personal informational purposes. Reproduction, adaptation, commercial exploitation, mass distribution, removal of credits, substantial automated extraction or reuse that exceeds legal limits is prohibited without prior authorization where required.

12. Permitted use and prohibited conduct

Users must use the Website lawfully and respectfully. They may not interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, attempt to access restricted areas, impersonate others, infringe third-party rights, collect other users’ personal data, carry out abusive automated extraction, use the content for unlawful activities or affect the security or availability of the Website.

13. Third-party links and services

The Website may include links to WhatsApp, Google, social networks, maps, authority platforms, scheduling tools or other sites or services run by third parties. Such services have their own terms and policies. The inclusion of a link does not imply control over the third party or responsibility for its availability, security, content or practices, without prejudice to the duties that legally correspond to Abogado Quintana.

14. Personal data protection and cookies

The processing of personal data arising from the use of the Website is governed by the Personal Data Processing Policy and, with respect to tracking technologies, by the Cookie Policy. These documents form part of the framework for using the Website and must be available through permanent links.

15. Forms, communications and documents sent

Users declare that the information they provide is their own or that they have sufficient authorization to share it. They should not send third-party personal data, complete case files, sensitive information or confidential documents that are not necessary for the initial inquiry. When a matter is accepted, appropriate channels for exchanging information will be indicated.

16. Availability and security

Abogado Quintana may update, suspend, modify or temporarily withdraw Website features for reasons of maintenance, security, improvement, force majeure or operational decision. Reasonable measures will be applied to protect the Website and the information processed, without promising uninterrupted availability or the absence of technical failures.

17. Liability

Users are responsible for the decisions they make based solely on the general information on the Website without requesting individual advice. Within the limits permitted by law, Abogado Quintana will not be liable for damages arising from misuse of the Website, from exclusive reliance on general content, from acts attributable to third parties, from unavailability beyond its reasonable control or from external links. This clause does not limit liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

18. Minors

The professional services and forms on the Website are aimed at persons with the capacity to act on their own behalf or at representatives of organizations. When data of children or adolescents is exceptionally processed, the special rules provided under Colombian law will apply and their best interests will take priority.

19. Changes

These Terms may be modified to reflect regulatory, technical or operational changes or changes in the services. The current version is the one published on the Website and will indicate its update date. Changes requiring a new authorization regarding personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable regulations.

20. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. For questions related to the Website, you may write to info@abogadoquintana.com or use the contact channels published on abogadoquintana.com. Requests specifically related to personal data will be handled under the Personal Data Processing Policy.
